Resolve Windows Server 2016 You Need Permission to Perform This Action? Restart In Safe Mode. Safe Mode can be the best rescue option in most of the error messages. Check and Modify the Permissions. In fact, this should be the ideal solution for sorting out. Before We Conclude. If your games are on a seperate drive you might need to change permissions or 'take ownership' of the drive. And worst case scenario would be to do a full re-install after backing up your important data / games.

Recently I've encountered a problem with my PC forcing me to do a full reset. Soon after I installed windows 10, whenever I tried to launch any games an error that said 'The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).' To fix this I tried looking up fixes for it through other threads. The other threads told me to delete specified .dll files and replace them. But when I tried to do this another error popped up. The second error said this. You need permission from TrustedInstaller to make changes to this file.
So in other words I have to fix the file error in order to fix the (0xc000007b) error, I can't fix either of them. Please help. Thank you.
